About Us

Our Story

Northern Constructions has been operating since 1968.

It began as a local cartage contractor to the Council and the surrounding area. Throughout the 1980s, the business developed and acquired more equipment to enable a transition into road construction, sewer and local subdivisions.

In 1999, Northern Constructions was sold to Damian Smith, a local owner/operator in the agricultural sector, with a goal to expand into subdivisions, bulk earthworks and civil construction. Since becoming a registered company in 2002, Northern Constructions has expanded and built a diversified portfolio of works.

In 2013, Northern Constructions moved to 33 Mundarra Rd, our current home that includes a large workshop, storage yard and modern administration building, housing our Project Managers, QA&OHSE Manager, Accounts and Senior management team. We employ 60 local staff members as well as numerous subcontractors, on major projects our staff numbers can grow to well over 150.
